R. Craig Greer, Jr., CHMM has 25 years’ experience in the environmental and waste management industry. Craig is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Biology from Auburn University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. Craig is the founder and owner of Greer Enterprises, LLC (Greer), which is currently in its 16th year of operations. Prior to founding Greer Enterprises, he was a regional manager for a nationwide environmental remediation firm. Craig also has experience working for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management while completing his undergraduate degree.

In addition to the daily operational management of Greer, Craig continues managing projects of varying size and complexity. These projects range from thermal desorption of several thousand tons of Creosote-impacted soils, to removal of RCRA Hazardous Wastes from the US Navy installation in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Craig also manages industrial cleaning projects such as cleaning of storage tanks housing petroleum products and RCRA Hazardous Waste. He specializes in the characterization and management of varying waste types, including RCRA-regulated waste, regulated medical waste, NORM waste, NOW waste, and non-hazardous solid waste.

 

 


Nick Baker, CPA

Nick Baker, CPA is a business management and accounting professional with over 15 years of experience. His specialty is in the management of small to medium size businesses in areas such as finance, cash flow, financial accounting, administration, human resources and IT. He also gained experience in the industry working for a world-wide environmental testing laboratory as well as accounting experience at a local tax firm.

Nick holds an associate’s degree in business administration from Faulkner State Community College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting from the University of South Alabama where he also graduated Summa Cum Laude. He received multiple scholarships and awards for academic performance. In 2016, Nick attained a significant professional goal when he earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Alabama.

Before joining the Greer team as Controller, Nick was an active duty United States Marine and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In his free time, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, being an active member in his church, playing golf, and going to the shooting range. Nick was born and raised in Mobile and has remained a resident following his military service.

 


Maria Thistlethwaite, CHMM

Maria E. Thistlethwaite, CHMM is an innovative and driven environmental professional with over 10 years of experience. Maria joined Greer in 2011. She serves as Staff Scientist and Project Manager, where she provides customers the best alternatives and cost effective ways to manage, recycle, transport and dispose of waste under State and Federal regulations. Maria has managed diverse and successful environmental projects for multiple companies across the country.

Maria has extensive environmental and safety training including, DOT, RCRA, HAZWOPER, IATA and in 2016 became a Certified Hazardous Material Manager through the Institute of Hazardous Material Management (IHMM). Before she joined Greer, she worked as Chemist Analyst at TestAmerica Laboratories acquiring experience in sampling and laboratory analysis.

Maria has a Microbiology degree from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia and Environmental Toxicology studies at the University of South Alabama.

Maria is originally from Colombia and has been living in Mobile for the past 10 years. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the beach, going to local festivals and spending time with family. Once Maria moved to Alabama she had to choose a side (Roll Tide!).

 


Ken Mohr

Ken Mohr has over 30 years of experience in the environmental testing industry along with extensive experience in Industrial Hygiene including Asbestos & Lead testing and Risk / Exposure Assessments. Ken has BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of South Alabama and is a Certified Asbestos Inspector.

Ken’s background in environmental projects including hazardous waste regulations, waste collections, recycling management and NPDES permitting helps create a comprehensive environmental regulation foundation and background for clients.  Ken also has worked in conjunction with multiple industrial and governmental level ground water contamination and remediation projects providing analytical data review and sampling protocols to ensure sample integrity and regulatory compliance.

Ken was part of the ownership team for EnviroChem Inc, an ADEM / NELAC Certified Laboratory, which operated in Mobile since 1988 and served clients nationwide before becoming Pace Labs in 2017. Ken resides with his wife Karen in Daphne and coaches Daphne Youth Baseball.  He also loves college football (Roll Tide) and spending time fishing and gardening.

 


Dama Shenesey

Dama Shenesey leads the biomedical waste team for Greer and is the driving force in providing waste transportation and disposal services for specialized and regulated medical and pharmaceutical waste streams. Dama has over 10 years of experience in the medical industry and the management of biomedical waste streams from physicians, dental and medical clinics. Dama is exceptionally knowledgeable and focused with a strong record of client satisfaction and excellent attention to detail. Dama is skilled at handling all levels of biomedical waste management projects and issues with maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. She ensures timely, prompt and professional pickup by our experienced personnel by providing the appropriate containers and bags for waste collection and waste manifests that provide proof of legal waste destruction regardless of job size.

In her personal time Dama enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and exploring the Gulf Coast, photography, college football (War Eagle!), and cooking. Dama was born and raised in Alabama and currently resides in Mobile.

 

 


Danielle Bolte

Danielle Bolte is an ambitious and devoted environmental professional with a proven background in emergency response, industrial services, and hazardous waste management. Recently, she spent three years as a Project Administrator for NRC Alaska in Fairbanks where she planned and managed numerous large scale projects and contracts all over interior Alaska.

Currently, Danielle is an Project Manager at Greer where she applies her knowledge and expertise to perform field work for preparing profiles and waste manifests for transportation of waste shipments to the appropriate facilities. Danielle enjoys a challenge and her passion and commitment to her customers are the most important aspects of her career. When not in the office, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family, billiards, quilting, and fishing.

 

 

 


 


Transportation Team

Our transportation team consists of both CDL and Non-CDL drivers that are 40-hour HAZWOPER and DOT trained where applicable. Our CDL team members also maintain a “Hazmat” endorsement on their commercial driver’s license to ensure that we can handle any transportation situation for our customers. We have a diverse transportation team that maintains and operates all of our equipment including forklifts, cargo vans, box vans, tractors, roll-off rails and more. This enables our team to have the capability of successfully hauling anything from a 5-gallon pail to a 25 cubic yard roll-off box and anything in between.

As with any other carrier, the safety of our drivers is of paramount importance. With our drivers hauling hazardous materials, safety and regulations training is an ongoing task that is addressed at each weekly meeting of our transportation department. Our transportation team members must prove that they are safety oriented and that they have the necessary knowledge to properly transport loads for our customers.
